This summer the Miss Pink Organization had the pleasure of partnering with an incredible organization called Sailing Heals. They invited several of our Miss Pink Warriors to join them on a few sails across Massachusetts, including Hyannis Yacht Club, Marblehead Yacht Club as well as Manchester Yacht Club.

The last sail of the summer for us featured Lexi on Captain Paul's boat that took off from Tuck's Point. Lexi, took the sea. There truly isn't anything she and our pink warriors can't conquer! Thank you to Sailing Heals!!

On Saturday, April 9th at the Danversport Yacht Club, Alexandra "Lexi" Therberge was crowned "Miss Pink 2016" at The Miss Pink Pageant, an annual event where breast cancer survivors "compete for a cause and fight for a cure". Therberg was one of nine contestants who awed the panel of judges with her story of courage and survival. Among the panel of judges were Mix 104.1’s Karson Tager, Kiss 108’s Romeo, The Bachelorette’s Dylan Petit, and Dirty Water Media's very own Julia Scaparotti.

The benefit aids the non profit organization, Miss Pink, which supports local families affected by breast cancer by providing funds to cover the costs of medical bills and basic necessities during times of treatment. This year's Pageant profited over $15,000 that will go directly back into the community.

An Air Force veteran, wife, and mother of two boys, Therberg was diagnosed with breast cancer in September 2015. In her role as Miss Pink 2016, Therberg will travel across New England heightening both  breast cancer awareness and bringing breast cancer education to the general public, as well as sharing the mission of the Miss Pink Organization. Miss Pink 2016 Warriors and Winner, Lexi

The Miss Pink organization is proud of the work we do. We stand by it and we believe in it wholeheartedly. How can you tell? Because every Miss Pink staff member you meet is a volunteer. No one gets paid for the work we do. Aside from the limited overhead, we put all of our proceeds back into our community. In order to accomplish this, we must rely on your support.

Miss Pink has existed for over 6 years now. It's because of people like you we are able to support breast cancer survivors and their families through basic medical and living expenses. We ask you to consider giving on this special day that celebrates & recognizes the generosity of people like you.

As we reflect on this day, we are also looking for nominations from you if there are breast cancer survivors you know that are in need. Send a confidential email to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and we will be in touch with you soon.

On Sunday, October 25th at 1PM the Patriots will kick off the game against the Jets. But first, during the pre-game events, breast cancer survivors will be joining on the field to celebrate breast cancer awareness. Michele Dube, Miss Pink 2015, will be among the women to join in this special event. Tune in to see her!
